Kurdistan Freedom Movement against the Third World War : Democratic Nation, Women’s Freedom, Social Ecology.

The WSF started a day late due to the fact that the government tried to ban the World Social Forum activities in the University, the same Government has finally agreed to the demands of the Caravans participants and the organisers of the WSF. The WSF 2026 was held with a special focus on Africa with the slogan : “Another world is possible”, the leadership of this social forum was on the caravan for water , land and seeds. This forum provided an opportunity for social movements across West and Central Africa to come together and place the demands of Africans at the center of the forum. We saw various delegates fighting for women’s organisations, ecology, and democracy against mu;ltinational and imperialism come together and share their experiences, struggles, and successes. Their strength and hope inspire other social movements to place self-determination and the defense of the African self=determination at the heart of South-south solidarity. Our enemies are their enemies; their slogans resonate across our land—“Solidarity, we will not rest, we will continue until victory” and “Our land is our life, our seeds are our life, our water is our life” their demands find echoes around the world.

This social forum was an opportunity to forge alliances across continent , to renforce the understanding of the commun struggle that we face . Capitalist forces and nation-states oppress people around the world through the same means, but alliances are forged here to resist the forces that seek to suppress life. The threat of seeing different social movements come together was strong , different states tried to limit the impact of such a meeting . But the alliance of social mouvments , traditional leaders and the youth were able to keep this social forum alive.

Various caravans traveled for weeks across Central and West Africa to bring social movements, peasant movements, and women’s liberation movements to this global event. They faced floods, police repression, hunger, and exhaustion, but their determination overcame all these difficulties, allowing them to bring the people’s voice with such resonance that it inspired all the other delegates.

Despite the slowdown in the social forum process, this experience has shown that social movements which combine organisation and determinationm can come together and reaffirm their belief that another world is possible.
