We would like to invite you to a meeting with representatives of the Kurdish Women’s Movement and the Academy of Democratic Modernity, on September 12th, at 5 PM, at Pavunão (Rua da Lapa, 107).
The meeting will be a space for dialogue and exchange with organizations and activists from the socialist, autonomous, libertarian, and anti-imperialist field, based on the experience of the Kurdish Liberation Movement and its proposal for Democratic Confederalism.
Over the last few decades, the Kurdish movement has developed an experience of organization and struggle that articulates social emancipation, autonomy, internationalism, and women’s protagonism. The purpose of the meeting is to learn more about this experience, share perspectives, and discuss the possibilities of building bonds of solidarity and articulation between different struggles and peoples.
We believe that, in the face of the challenges posed by the advance of the forces of capitalism and imperialism, it is fundamental to create spaces for dialogue between experiences of organization and resistance that, despite their differences, share the search for new forms of social transformation.
This will be an opportunity to learn more about the Kurdish experience and, above all, to discuss our own struggles, challenges, and possibilities for building together.
